Q1. Why do you believe in Carroll County Growth Partnership?

As a longtime resident of the Carroll County area, I am passionate about the work of the Carroll County Growth Partnership (CCGP). I have seen this organization be a great asset for the community, both from a personal and business perspective. Over the years, CCGP has helped the Carroll community continue to be a viable economic business area for both current and new businesses. CCGP has been a great resource for recruitment and retention efforts of local employees, helping to make our community stronger and more diverse. One way this can be seen is through CCGP’s effort to uphold the per capita base income in the community, helping to recruit and retain businesses and employees. CCGP has been a strong supporter of our business, Renewable Energy Group (REG), over the years through support when we became an independent business, assistance with recruitment and retention, and support during major construction projects.

Q2. Why did you want to serve on the Board of Directors for CCGP?

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the CCGP Board of Directors. I look forward to working with other community leaders to continue to support and advance the Carroll County community. Having an extensive history of involvement in Carroll County, including 36 years of employment in the county, I am excited to bring my experiences and technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing, construction, business acquisition, quality and sustainability, to the CCGP Board of Directors. I look forward to using my expertise to provide ideas and solutions that help the people in the area. Renewable Energy Group (REG) has been a strong supporter of the Carroll County community over the years, and I look forward to growing this support by representing REG on the CCGP Board of Directors.

Q3. Why do you love to live and work in Carroll County?

I am very proud to call Carroll County home. The community is small enough that it has a hometown feel, yet large enough that there are many opportunities for personal and professional growth. The citizens who make up Carroll County are proud to support one other in their personal and business aspirations, which cannot be found in every community. My career in Carroll County has given me the opportunity for continuous learning and growth, while providing a strong wage. I was honored to be able to raise my family in Carroll County, where some of them still remain to build their own careers and families.
