Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities
Greeting and welcoming customers Gathering and inputting customer information Maintaining accurate information in computer system Processing Prescriptions (new and refills) Inventory Control Maintain customer service level with team Answering phone calls Maintain clean and organized workspace Support and assist the pharmacy workflow Understanding and supporting new initiatives and procedures in the pharmacy Call patients to communicate key issues and to remind them to pick up prescriptions Provide “Up-Solutions” to customers and the community Always delivering brand experience
Qualifications

Experience in health-related fields or customer service preferred. Manning Pharmacy will provide training to candidates who possess the necessary skills and Core Values. Successful certification is required within 1 year of hire through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Qualifications and Skills High school diploma (or equivalent) Must be eligible to register as a pharmacy technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Must love people and possess the ability to deliver a top notch customer experience Works well in a team-oriented environment Possesses strong communication skills Ability to operate Windows-based computer software systems/pharmacy systems Attention to detail Ability to understand and follow processes and instructions Is coachable Shares in the Core Values of Manning Pharmacy Education: High School or Equivalent (Required) License: Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred, but training available. Must obtain certification 1 year from start date)
